NOAH SCAPE was conceived as a clever play on words. The two partners, Charlie and Sam, decided on that name after considering many others. It seemed like as good a name as No Escape, but then they decided to change the spelling to make it a bit more interesting.

NOAH SCAPE was started out of their love for accurate and faithful reproductions of great songs by great artists. Both Charlie Zeller and Sam Burkes had played in many 3, 4 and 5 piece bands before, but none had been able to really recreate the sound they were looking for.

Charlie Zeller had played in a MIDI duo in California, and Sam Burkes had played in an acoustic duo in Arizona and California, but when Charlie started playing MIDI files for Sam over the phone, his interest was piqued!

Toward the end of the year 2000, they decided to form a duo, using MIDI backing because they could get the musical sounds they wanted and have fewer problems to deal with as far as other musicians were concerned. The result was fantastic!

NOAH SCAPE now has a solid selection of songs and a great sound to go with it. They have also added a vocal harmonizer, enabling them to have 3 and 4 part harmonies!
